Portland photoshoot 2-05-05

On a wet weekend morning early in February, 2005 we went to the historic Portland district of Louisville which is located along the Ohio river just above the McAlpine Lock and Dam at the Falls of the Ohio. It is an area of 19th and early 20th century brick warehouses and wood-framed neighborhoods that served the wharves and docks above the locks back in the days when steam and paddle wheelers worked the Ohio. Looking for paintings, this photo record is a small selection of shots taken that day.
