As with Arizona we have passed through New Mexico a number of times since 2002. Whenever time permits it's preferred to be on the two-lane federal and state highways when crossing a state. New Mexico particularly. The last trip was March, 2007, with a week visit to Santa Fe. Having always past by, this was our first look at Santa Fe. White Sands National Monument was a special place full of color and magic; what one comes to expect just about everywhere here in New Mexico.
